Meet Cosi

A woman with short red hair smiling while looking at a small decorative bowl she is holding in her hand. She is in a room with wooden shelves filled with books and colorful signs that read 'MEMBERSHIP' and 'GRA'. The woman is wearing a light-colored blouse with red and orange patterns.

Hi there! My name is Cosi and I've spent over seven years working in classics and archaeology outreach, striving to make the fields more accessible and engaging. I'm an ancient historian, writer, and presenter and I hold a BA (First Class Honours) from the University of Melbourne, an MPhil in Classics from Cambridge, and I'm currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, specialising in vase painting.

I publish newsletters for over nine thousand subscribers on Substack, teasing out the connections between the ancient world and pop culture. One of my recent major projects involved scripting, presenting, and producing a tongue-in-cheek retelling of Homer’s Odyssey, filmed in Corfu.

I also curate and host a wide range of in-person events—from panel discussions to after hours museum experiences—with my latest series reimagining the iconic Greek practice of the symposium, inviting attendees to connect and indulge in immersive, sensory experiences with ancient themes.
